A Direct Train To Roll Out Next Year Connecting New Delhi To Kaziranga

A new rail route has been proposed by the Minister of State for Railways, Mr. Rajen Gohain in the Railway Ministry, which will come into effect from 2017. This proposed rail route connecting New Delhi with the famed Kaziranga National Park will be a great opportunity for the wild life enthusiasts, photographers and rhino lovers!

This new train has been named as ‘Kaziranga Express’, and will be a direct route with the Capital and the UNESCO World Heritage Site. This semi-luxury train will function along the lines of Tiger Express, another luxury tourist train which was introduced recently between Kanha National Park, Bhavnagar and New Delhi.

Kaziranga National Park is the biggest reserve and home for one-horned rhinos and tigers in the world. It attracts animal and nature lovers from all over the world. This World Heritage site is a paradise and one-of-a-kind experience for any wildlife enthusiast! This proposed train will have semi-luxury coaches along with dining car. It will be a great way for exploring the rich wildlife of the national park. Although the project is at its nascent stage, tourists taking a ride in this train will be offered a complete package, along with food, hotel, local commute, jungle safari, among others.
